The Impact of Psychological Capital on Performance and Work Attitudes Across Work Choices and Cultures
With literature brimming of findings on financial,human and social capital,attention in the field of organizational behavior and human resource management now begins in depth analysis of PsyCap,Psychological Capital.Even though PsyCap has been well supported in most US-based research even when examining whether cultural differences moderate the relationship between positive psychological capital and work outcomes/ attitudes,there is little known on whether a relationship exists between PsyCap and desirable work outcome in southeast Asian countries,especially when these countries are culturally distinct from the United States.This research attempts to examine the impact of PsyCap on work attitudes and performance in a southeast Asian context.Specifically,the researcher explores the effect of PsyCap as also moderated by work choice (entrepreneur or employee) and cultural factors by comparing Thai and Vietnamese populations.
