A Comparative Study of the Tourism Policies in Japan and Fiji
As worldwide technologies improve,world travel is becoming easier.More potential tourist dollars are available for countries able to capture them.Japan and Fiji are countries trying to capture more of the market share in tourism Fiji because its economy depends on tourism and Japan because of its huge inbound tourism deficit.Japan and Fiji have some similar and some different obstacles to overcome in order to be successful in the tourism market.Japan has to compete against China and Hong Kong for tourists,and Fiji has to deal with its internal power struggles,which caused a series of coups in past years.Comparing Japan and Fiji shows several issues,benefits,and threats that a Pacific country encounters while trying to boost tourism.
