Urban Transitions and Sustainable Development in China:Regional Impacts from Economic Turmoil

摘要：

Challenges facing urban planners and government policy makers are complex involving multiple constituencies,especially in the Peoples Republic of China (or China).Herein,we will discuss sustainable development as it applies to migrant workers,and changes in some economic indicators and its implications for sustainable development.In the context of the individual registration system,hukou,we consider how the slow down in the world economy may affect development in five vibrant regions of China.
