Conflict Management on Global Warming Policies Using Agent Based Simulation
Global-warming is more than a natural phenomenon;it also has political, economical, and social aspects.Since earth functions as one ecosystem, such climatechange is an international concern. However all scientific solutions must go through political decisions in order to become effective vast implementations. Each country has its own policies to protect the benefits of its citizens. As the result conflicts among countries often emerge, which only hinder the efforts to save earth. The implementations of the Kyoto-protocol as the international agreement on global-warming have been slow due to the differences of self-interests among countries. As a global political-economical power, the United States refusal to ratify the agreement also has serious consequences for the rest of the world. This research aimed in resulting scenarios of global politics as alternative solutions.Certain scenarios support the Kyoto-protocol,therefore advised to follow.Other scenarios are complication in the efforts to stop global-warming,therefore suggested to avoid.Through agent-based modeling, countries (agents) with significant international contributions arc simulated against each other. It is hope that this study contributes not only to the solutions of global-warming,but also the rarely published research using drama-theory.
