Empirical Analysis on the Establishment of the Pan-Pacific Free Trade Area
The Pan-Pacific Area shows an outstanding development in the trend of world economic integration.It has become the focus of the world about whether the Pan-Pacific Region will grow into a Free Trade Area (FTAAP) in the near future ad form a formation of global confrontation with another largest free trade area,the European Union.Meanwhile,China,as one of the largest developing countries in the Pan-Pacific Area,has also attracted peoples attention greatly to whether its economic development and growth of foreign trade have been taking an important part in establishing the FTAAP.All above is researched in this paper from three perspectives.First,it introduces the general development situation of the Pan-Pacific Area on the basis of data about APEC,ASEAN and some typical nations,such as the US,Japan,and China.Second,it makes the empirical analysis on establishing the FTAAP by means of Mathematics and Econometrics,which conclude that the trade volume between China and other countries on the Pan-Pacific has kept growing.The establishment of FTAAP will promote the regional economy further.At last,it analyzes the operational mechanism of the FTAAP and proposes the developing route from semi-liberalization to free trade.
