Human Resource Management Practices Improve Employees Performance:Trust as a Mediator
Effective HRM practices can lead to superior employee performance.Nevertheless, the mechanism between these two has not been carefully identified.Using the survey data of dyadic manager-employees,the study examined the relationship among HRM practices, trust within organization and employees performance. The results from structural equation modeling indicated that the effective HRM practices can increase the trust in organization, trust in leader and trust in colleagues. The trust in leader had significant influence on both task performance and contextual performance of employees.Trust in organization could enhance the contextual performance.Trust in colleagues related neither to task performance nor to contextual performance.HRM practices could influence employees performance via trust within organization.
