STUDY ON REASONABLE COVER THICKNESS FOR SUBMARINE TUNNEL THROUGH SHENYANG HUNHE
Choice of cover thickness for submarine tunnel is very important in tunnel construction, because it will be very dangerous if the cover thickness is too small, whereas the length, slope gradient and cost will be increased after a larger cover thickness is chosen. Base on the actual situation of Shenyang Wuai tunnel through the Hunhe River, China. Three-dimensional fast Lagrangian method (FLAC3D) is used to numerical simulation, by comparing the crown displacement and the principal tensile stress of standard tunnel and this tunnel in different cover thickness, the reasonable cover thickness is finally put forward.
