THERMAL FRACTURE CHARACTERISTIC OF ROCK UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF UNIAXIAL TENSILE
Rock s thermal expansion process is irreversible, which will be affected by the heating history. The properties of rock after heating and cooling are very different. In this paper, the experiments for research of the process of the thermal fracture under uniaxial tensile stress were carried out, the macro--mechanical properties of rock during thermal fracture were analyzed, and the thermal failure mechanism was discussed.
