A NEW MICROSEISM SOURCE LOCATION TECHNIQUE
Microseism source location accuracy is affected by many factors, such as sensor array geometry, velocity model, arrival time and type, location algorithms and background noise. A new seismic source location algorithm is proposed in the paper for solving the problems that solution is instable and velocity model cant be identified correctly for several location algorithms proposed by the other documents. This method with hierarchical strategy firstly identifies velocity structure and microseismic source location by inversing analysis hiring particle swarm optimization (PSO), based on minimizing residual sum of squares of calculated and monitored difference of arrival time between two neighbor sensors, then utilizing solved above velocity structure and microseismic source coordinates, solves microseismic occurrence time in basis of theory of time-of-arrival location by analytic method, named intelligence microseismic source hierarchy location method (IMSHL). Sensor array geometry is optimized by PSO, background noise is eliminated by the given thresholds that are obtained by testing and arrival time is revised automatically. Location accuracy and stability of the proposed method are verified by an example of underground cavern group.
