ENGINEERING APPLICATION OF DISCONTINUITY INFORMATION OBTAINED WITH DIGITAL CLOSE RANGE PHOTOGRAMMETRY

Discontinuity information needs to be obtained and studied in modern rock mass engineering because of its importance for rock mass stability. In light of the present situation of obtaining discontinuity information with artificial measurement of heavy labor and low efficiency, rapid obtaining and application of discontinuity information based on digital close range photogrammetry (DCRP) was studied in this paper. Rock high slope reinforcement engineering of Baolilinyu village in Guangzhou was used as research object. Firstly, discontinuity information was obtained. Secondly, the method was verified to be feasible by precision analysis and demarcation of preference clusters compared with compass measurement. Finally, stability of the slope was analyzed with stereographic projection. The study shows that the slope on the east side of the second quarry exists potential instability; the slope on the north side of the second quarry is comparatively stable; the safe slope angle of designed-slope 7c5-I-2 is 65°. Accordingly, designing standard for the slope reinforcement project is offered.
