In the past decade, Chinese coal industry developed rapidly, as a professional institute on safety science and technology in the field, Chongqing Institute of China Coal Research Institute (hereinaf ter referred as Chongqing Institute) fulfills the mission of devoting to safety science and technology and promoting life guarantee and made contributions in the developing progress. Scientific achievement and research ideas of Chongqing institute, which obtained in the field of coal gas prevention and control, coal bed gas exploitation and utilization, have been introduced in the past ten years.
