Comparison of Lime Requirement Determination in Croatia and Hungary
Soil acidity is considerable agricultural problem in Croatia and Hungary. The liming recommendation should be adjusted to soil properties and lime amount calculation could be based on different soil properties according to available and used soil data. The aim of this paper was to compare procedure for liming recommendations in Croatia and Hungary in order to validate and improve both procedures. Comparison of liming recommendations showed that the average difference in lime amount was 0. 52 t · ha-1, while the correlation between measured BS (in Hungarian laboratory) and predicted BS (in Croatian laboratory) was very significant ( r2 = 0. 89).
