Construction of Stylosanthes Guianensis Suppression Subtractive Hybridization Library under Aluminum Stress
Stylo (Stylosanthes quianensis) is a worldwide-grown forage grass and a cultivar of Stylo ( cv. Reyuan No. 2) was shown to exudate citrate and tolerate to Al. In order to understand the mechanism of Al detoxification in stylo plants at molecular level, a cDNA library for Reyuan No. 2 under Al stress was constructed by suppression subtractive hybridization ( SSH). Ultimately, 1300 randomly selected positive clones were obtained and consisted of the SSH cDNA library. Approximately 600 clones were randomly selected for sequence analyses. The results indicated that many previously reported stress-related genes were included in this SSH library.
