Liming Impact on Cost and Profit Management in Crop Production
Soil acidity in Croatia ia one of the most important yield limiting factors. Liming is usual recommendation aimed to increase soil fertility, approved by many field and lab results. The paper was based on field experiments and aimed to determine the highest economic impact of liming considering: field crop (wheat, maize, sunflower and winter barley) , crop production area size, liming material, liming dosage and application frequency, soil fertility (low, medium and high) and mechanization management. Regression model for comparing profits and costs determined different optimal liming dosage depending on crop, soil fertility, soil acidity and achieved yield.
