Phosphorus and Boron Interactions in P-Efficient Soybean Genotypes
Little information is available about how boron (B) nutrition influences phosphorus (P)-uptake efficiency in acid soils, despite both are major constraints limiting upland crop growth and yields, such as in South China. Using three soybean ( Glycine max) genotypes BD2, HX1 and HX3, with different P-efficiency, we conducted a preliminary study to examine how B deficiency influences the genotypes responses to low P supply in solution culture. The results showed that the influence of B deficiency on plant responses to P supply varied among the 3 genotypes with different P-efficiency.
