Analysis of Characteristic of the Typical Ancient Buildings on Qingcheng Mountain under Earthquake Action
Structure of ancient buildings is generally connected by joints of tenon-and-mortise work, stiffness of the whole structure is relatively small, which belongs to loosened system and its seismic response characteristic is different from modern rigid frame system; ancient buildings on the high mountain under earthquake action also have disadvantageous influence similar to whiplash effect. By means of investigation after Wenchuan earthquake, this paper analyzes the typical ancient buildings such as the Yellow Emperor temple and the Laojun temple on Qingcheng Mountain, and finds the characteristic of structural dynamic response under earthquake action.
