Research on the Earthquake-Resistance Capability of Residence of Shangqinggong Palace after Renovation
Many ancient buildings on Qingcheng Mountain are damaged by Wenchuan earthquake, but some show good anti-seismic capability and just damage a little. The residence of Shangqinggong Palace is one good example, which renovated just before Wenchuan earthquake. Based on the investigation of the residence after the earthquake, its numerical simulation model is built up. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the dynamic structural response under the seism action by comparing the original ancient building with itself after renovation. The results can be referred to the renovation and retrofitting of this kind of ancient building.
