Calculation of Deflection of RC Beam Strengthened with CFRP
Experiments were carried out to study the laws of stiffness and deflection change of reinforced concrete (RC) beams strengthened with carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP). Stiffness and deflection formula with concrete grade , reinforcement, reinforcement ratio, reinforcement ratio/per-reinforcement diameter, protective layer thickness in consideration were proposed and proved to have a high precision after comparing the calculated results with the test date of 10 RC beams strengthened with CFRP. It is hoped that the research could provide theoretical basis for the revision of the current relevant technical specification.
