Seismic Safety Evaluation Analysis of a New Building Structure with Multi-ribbed Composite Wall Structure
Earthquake, which breaks out abruptly and unpredictably, is seriously threatening the safety of peoples life and possessions. As China is an earthquake-prone country, it is crucial to explore new damage-reduction methods for us. Multi-ribbed composite wall structure is a new type of structure which has certain advantages in seismic performance and energy dissipation. In order to study the seismic safety performance of multi-ribbed composite wall (MRCW), a performance-based seismic safety evaluation method is applied, and based on the former research, a frame-oblique strut computation model is presented and the seismic response of MRCW is studied by nonlinear static method in this paper. It shows that MRCW appears to get damaged and dissipate the earthquake energy step by step from blocks to RC frame and then to concealed out frame under the earthquake excitation, which indicates a damage-reduced failure mode and accords with the test results very well.
