Study on Seismic Bearing Capacity of SRHSHPC Joints

This paper is devoted to studying on bearing capacity of SRHSHPC frame joints under seismic action. Cyclic loading tests are carried out on five half-scale interior joints. In which column steel is through while beam steel is broken and welded to column flange, stiffening ribs are set on column web plate. The test parameters taken into account are concrete strength and axial column load. The bearing capacity of SRHSHPC frame joints under cyclic load is studied and the influence of concrete strength and axial column load is analyzed. The result indicates that failure process of SRHSHPC frame joints is similar to ordinary SRC frame joints. Though failure mode is panel shear failure, the joints get higher bearing capacity than normal SRC joints, which indicates that SRHSHPC frame joints possesses high strength, high endurance and good seismic performance. Joint with lower axial compression ratio and lower concrete strength grade possess better hysteretic energy performance.
