Research on Seismic Performance of Long Connecting and Long-span Continuous Bridge with Low Piers at Strong Earthquake Zone

This study examines the dynamic performance of Bao-shu Yellow River Extra-large Bridge, which has characteristics such as low pier, long span and eight-span continuous girders, at the strong earthquake zone with magnitude (M) of 6 or more. Taking this bridge for example, research on dynamic performance of eight-span girders for continuous prestressed concrete girder bridge was made by developing spatial finite element models in three-dimensions, with seismic response spectrum and dynamic time history analysis, to provide a basis for seismic design.
