Earthquake Damage Analysis of Tunnel 109 # on Bao-Cheng Railway and Its Rush Repairs
This paper puts forward such strategies for emergency works as easy to construct, quick reinforcement, priority to traffic resumption, long-term consideration, line relocation and thorough remedial measures based on the analysis of the characteristics, causes and difficulties encountered in the reinforcement with short time, long distance and high risk for seriously damaged linings of 109# tunnel on Bao-Cheng Railway after the earthquake. Introduced further by the author are the treatments to the damaged shed by means of steel shed frame, which has been approved, by the monitoring data in later operation, reasonable and appropriate to guarantee structural safety and resume traffic ahead of schedule.
