A Study on Seismic Dynamic Response on Mountain Tunnel Portals
In May 2008, a violent earthquake occurred in Wenchuan caused the destruction of many local tunnels with varying degrees of damage, and the damage in the portal structures of tunnel is particularly serious. For intensive understanding the damage mechanism of the tunnels and the staggered space of the two tunnels influencing on the dynamic response in the earthquake process, according the practical geology conditions of Wenchuan, the different staggered space of the two tunnels were numerical analyzed with the Abaqus program. It was shown that:(1) the laws of maximum Mises stress of liner transect with the distance between the lining transect and the portal of tunnel were influenced by the staggered space of the two tunnels, the stiffness ratio of tunnel lining stiffness to surrounding rock stiffness and the material strength of surrounding rock have considerable influence on the maximum Mises stress value of liner transect located in portal structures of tunnel; (2) maximum relative displacement and maximum mises stress of liner transect have the same laws with the distance, and the effect of the staggered space of the two tunnels was similituded to them. In addition, the location with maximum relative displacement on the lining was governed by the constraint conditions of surrounding rock; (3) the extreme value in each lining transects maximum acceleration appeared at the portal of the tunnel on the action of the X direction seismic wave. The maximum acceleration was influenced slightly by the separated distance of the two tunnels portals on the X direction. And, it was seriously influenced by the separated distance of the two tunnels portals on the Z direction. The largest extreme value of the maximum acceleration on the lining transect was got when the separated distance of the two tunnels portals on the Z direction reached the 2 times of the diameter of the tunnel section.
