Computational identification and characterization of UDP-glucose: Flavonoid 7-O-glucosyltransferase in Scutellaria baicalensis georgi through bioinformatic analysis
The nucleic acid sequence and corresponding atnino acid sequence of UDP-glucose: flavonoid 7-O-glucosyltransferase (UBGAT) from Scutellaria baicalensis, which were registered in GenBank, were predicted and analyzed in bioinformatics by some tools including Vector NTI Suite 8 and so on. The results showed as following: Sbubgat gene contains complete ORF; the formula of UBGAT protein is C2193 H3462 N590 O638 S11, which lies in cytoplasm, without transmembrane topological structure, is hydrophic protein related to intermediary metabolism and amino acid synthesis. The secondary structure of UBGAT constitute mainly α-helix and random coil, and the tertiary structure was modelling.
