Analysis of Chinese University-run Enterprises through Property Rights Theory
As we all know that each enterprise pursues highest profit whenever and wherever it is. However, Chinese universities have taken advantages of themselves to create special university-run enterprises which are unique in China. Based on particular history Chinese university-run enterprises were born according to some theories and during their development they have to face a lot of problems, some of which are inevitable. This article analyzes the basic idea of the generation of Chinese university-run enterprises, makes researches on the problems of university-run enterprises through several theories, such as theory of transaction cost, theory of residual claim, and the principal-agent theory.
