Application of Dynamic Soft Reduction Technology in Continuous Casting of Slab
The principle of dynamic soft reduction technology was introduced briefly. According to applying of dynamic soft reduction technology in No. 2 Steelmaking Plant of WISCO, the main technological parameters were analyzed and optimized, such as reduction position, reduction amount, and reduction ratio. After application of the optimized dynamic soft reduction technology, the central segregation of slab was improved effectively, especially for medium carbon steel. The proportion of grade A central segregation decreased from 3.21 % to less than 0.20%, and the proportion of grade C central segregation increased from 64.5% to greater than 95%.
