Development and Application of Universal Simulation & Analysis Software of Slab Continuous Casting Process
Based on the fully-considered slab heat-transfer & solidification model and the finite difference numerical solution, the universal static simulation software of slab continuous casting process CISDI CCPS OFFLINE has been developed, which is embedded with two solving modules, namely one-dimensional heat-transfer module and two-dimensional heat-transfer module, and includes some important functional modules, such as distribution status of slab temperature field, distribution status of slab strain, evolution trend of solidifying shell, disciplinarian of slab heat dispersion, process parameters of soft reduction, mould narrow-face taper, strand taper, judgment of slab quality defect and solidification characteristic in mushy zone of steel. The software has good applicability and generality, which has been used successfully in project engineering practices of several slab casters with good effects, and can be widely adopted in research job and project engineering.
