STUDY ON STRENGTHENED STOREYS IN STEEL FRAME CONCRETE CORE TUBE STRUCTURE

The paper considers a structure under the horizontal loads with four strengthened storeys as an example in association with Qingdao Development Zone of International Trade Building which is 55 -story tall, studies strengthened storeys in hybrid structure. It uses the rotation compatibility deformation which is at the attachment points of strengthened storeys and tube body to establish equations and carry out a theoretical analysis on optimum placement of strengthened storeys. The expressions of theoretical optimum placement of multi-layer strengthened storeys in steel frame concrete core tube structure have derived which can be used for preliminary design of projects. The results can provide a reference for similar engineering applications.
