STUDY ON CALCULATION METHOD OF THE ULTIMATE TORQUE OF STEEL FIBER CONCRETE EDGE BEAMS IN TORSION
In this paper, basing on the mechanical capacity of steel fiber reinforced concrete(SFRC) beams in torsion and considering the influence of the steel fiber, formulas on the tensile stress of longitudinal steel, stirrups and steel fibers in section, the formulas of ultimate torque of the beams are given using the variable angle space truss analogy. Then the prediction results are compared with those of the test, and the calculation precision of the formulas is high. So that the formulas have advantages of high precision, clear concept and can joint with the calculation formulas on ultimate torque of common reinforced concrete beams as well, so it can provide some valuable references to be used in practice.
