INELASTIC ENERGY DESIGN RESPONSE SPECTRUM OF PARALLEL BASE-ISOLATED SYSTEM
The dissipative ability magnitude of parallel isolation system contributes strongly structure security under the earthquake. The intensity or deformation is considered in the current design method of parallel isolation system, the dissipative feature of base-isolated structure isnt considered. The earthquake duration and long period of base-isolated structure are not considered. So, the current design method has some defects. Based on the bilinear hysteretic model, inelastic energy design response spectrum of parallel isolation system is studied under a world-wide ensemble of 40 earthquake records of four types site. The related parameter span and the peak value of energy spectrum curve are proposed. The analysis of case history indicates that the proposed energy design response spectrum has higher reliability and the calculation result drives to safety.
