APPLICATION OF SALT-FROST RESISTANCE CONCRETE IN BRIDGE DECK PAVEMENT
In view of the serious damage of road and bridge pavement, this paper discusses a kind of concrete controlled by both Salt-frost resistance and mechanical properties, which can avoid destroy and extend the service life of the construction. The study of mechanical properties show that: by the addition of finely-powdered slag, Silica Fume and Dura fiber, the salt-frost resistance concrete (PPEK) can gain higher performance 28 days cube compressive strength. Although the flexural strength of PPEK has no apparent improvement, its ductility was perfect than ordinary concrete. In addition, the Dura fiber in PPEK can restrain the crack in early age in deck pavement. The research of durability properties suggests that: finely-powdered slags, silica fume, Dura fiber can improve the concretes impermeability grade, and make it reach 21 grade, which is far higher than the construction requirements of 12 grade, and also can obtain better resistance to penetration and frost. In this paper, the study of the action of freezing-thawing cycles in the water and NaCl solution to studying the capability of frost-resistance were done individual. Not only the mechanic character of PPEK can satisfy the construction use, but also the durability of PPEK is more than the ordinary concrete. In conclusion, salt-frost resistance concrete is a kind of engineering materials needing to develop and use.
