STUDY AND APPLICATION ON CONCRETE BRIDGE STRENGTHENED WITH PRE-TENSIONED CFRP LAMINATES
Large scale concrete beams were strengthened by pre-stressed CFRP (Carbon Fiber-Reinforced-Polymer) laminate with the special mechanical stressing and anchoring tools, and then, the strengthened beams were carried out to failure under the monotone load. On the basis of experimental results, the pre-tensioning technique is used to rehabilite a simply-supported railway concrete bridge. The strengthened effect is good through testing the change of crack width and mid-span deflection.
