A Study on Methods of Patent Portfolio Analysis for Competitive Technical Intelligence

摘要：

Patent portfolios have been proved to be a very valuable tool for R&D decision makers in companies. The paper surveys the researches on patent portfolios and provides theoretical discussion about Patent Portfolio Analysis from the perspective of Competitive Technical Intelligence. It mainly focuses on the extended study of Patent Portfolio Analysis methods and absorbs other effective patent intelligence analysis tools into the extended methodology framework, according to different CTI levels. The methodology framework presented and the means suggested will make effective comparisons between related companies and reflect the competitive status and advantages of patent portfolios.
