SOCIAL TENSION MAPPING (ON THE TERRITORY OF SOUTH FEDERAL DISTRICT OF RUSSIA)
The principles of the conception of Sustainable Development suppose that states and regions following this conception are developing on the base of economic growth, ecologic sustainability and social stability. Nowadays Russia has a lot of urgent social problems that have become themes of many researches and scientific works. Most of these works are based on methods of sociology, mathematics and statistics; cartographic method of modeling and analysis is not widely used in the research of social situation. This article touches some aspects of the implementation of modern cartographic tools (such as GIS) together with sociological and statistical methods into research of social situation in South Federal District of Russia.
