GIS PROJECT VEGETATION OF THE NORTH OF THE RUSSIAN FAR EAST

摘要：

Botanic-geographic analysis of vegetation cover of North Eurasia is very important in relation to ecological problems decision. Usage of cartographic methods on the base of computer technologies and software is perspective for creation of scientific bases of the biodiversity monitoring system on regional level. In the laboratory of botany of the Institute of Biological Problems of the North for the period 1995-2007 series of the GIS projects on vegetation is elaborated including regional information systems (RGIS) within administrative boundaries of Magadan region, Chukotsky and Korjaksky autonomous districts and territorial information system: Vegetation map of Far Eastern sector of Arctic, Vegetation of the North of the Russian Far East.
