THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MAP WORLD NATURAL RESOURCES FOR A NEW WALL EDUCATIONAL MAPS SERIES (SCALE 1:20 000 000)
The Geographic Faculty of the Moscow State University has developed a new series of wall educational maps of the world (scale 1:20 000 000). The map World natural resources is major in this series. The map depicts the spacial distribution of main types of natural resources, which determine the economic activities (land, mineral, water, agroclimatic resources).Unlike the other published wall maps, the introduced map reveals real areas of distribution of land resources and mineral resources on various continents. Detailization of the map, application of new (adapted to secondary school) classification of arable lands, natural grazing lands and forests produce the profound representation of up-to-date frame of natural-resources potential of different regions of the world.
