THE MEDICAL-DEMOGRAPHIC ATLAS OF THE KALININGRAD REGION: EXPERIENCE OF CREATION AND USING
The medical-demographic atlas of the Kaliningrad region is a result of many years thematic investigations. Atlas includes three sections: <Population and social conditions>, <Population Health>, <Public Health Services>. Evaluation of the medical-geographic situation was carried out by three hierarchical levels: the oblast itself, the town of Kaliningrad (the administrative center) and the resort zone. Results of cartographic evaluation can be used for exposure of causes of morbidity as well as for decision making in the sphere of social and ecological protection of population.
