摘要：

Oil sand is sandy mixture with heavy oil substance. It is found massively in the north and south America. It has been developed from the 70s as alternative source of crude oil. It requires primary processing to reduce viscosity and density to be further utilized in conventional refineries. Due to the recent oil price hike the demand of oil sand crude is rapidly increasing and it is one of the main oil products in Canada.
