RESEARCH ON LOCAL RESISTANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF COAL-WATER SLURRY FLOWING THROUGH THE LOCAL FITTINGS
Pipe fittings like valves, bends, elbows, tees, contraction etc. are the indispensable part of any piping system. Flow through piping components is more complex than through the straight pipes. Friction losses caused by the presence of valves and fittings usually results from disturbances of the flow, which is forced to change direction abruptly to overcome path obstructions and to adapt itself to sudden or gradual changes in the cross section or shape of the duct.
