EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON AGGLOMERATION OF SUBMICRON PARTICLES FROM COAL COMBUSTION IN MULTISTAGE SPOUTED FLUIDIZED TOWER

Submicrometer particles (PM25) are main pollutants to atmosphere in current China. Although the efficiency of existing equipment (such as ESP, bag house) can reach so much as 99%, a mass of submicrometer particles are emitted into atmosphere. The emission of submicron particles from coal combustion has caused serious damage to the environment and human health1,2. Weifeng et al.4,5 developed a novel submicron particle agglomeration technique to control the emission of submicron particles. The submicron particles in the flue gas were agglomerated by physical and chemical process before electrostatic precipitator (ESP).
