COMBUSTION CHARACTERISTICS AND KINETICS OF BIO-OIL
Bio-oil is the main product of biomass pyrolysis. As the substitutes of fossil fuels, bio-oil can produce heat, electricity and chemicals. In the short-term it can be used in boilers and thermal power generation and in the long-term it can be used in turbines and diesel engines. However, at present the study on the combustion characteristics of bio-oil is few at home and abroad and there are also no clear assessment standards of bio-oils quality, so it is necessary to establish a quality evaluation standard of different kinds of bio-oils.
