TPR STUDY ON CERIUM-COPPER OXIDE FOR DESULFURIZING HOT COAL GAS
High-temperature desulfurization of coal-derived gas is a key component in the development of high-efficiency electric power generation processes such as the integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) and poly-generation system. Cerium oxide was evaluated as a candidate second-generation sorbent for high-temperature gas desulfurization due to its potential to produce elemental sulfur during the regeneration phase1.
