REDUCED DEACTIVATION OF V2O5/AC CATALYST FOR LOW TEMPERATURE SCR BY ALKALI METALS WHEN USED IN PRESENCE OF LOW SO2
Selective catalytic reduction of NOx (SCR) is one of the most widely used technologies for reducing NOx from stationary sources. The optimum operating temperature of the commercial catalyst (i.e., V2O5/TiO2 promoted with WO3 or MoO3) is in the range of 300-500 ℃ for keeping free from SO2 deactivation, which makes it necessary to reheat the flue gas after the electrostatic precipitator and dessulphuriser (120-250 ℃). Thus the search for new catalysts active and stable at low temperatures and in presence of low SO2 is still under way.
