KINETIC MODELING OF NON-HYDROCARBON/NITRIC OXIDE INTERACTIONS IN A FLOW REACTOR ABOVE 1400K
Nowadays, rebuming is shown as one of the most efficient and attractive NOx reduction techniques. Rebuming is a chemically complex process in which nitric oxide is abated using fuel as a reducing agent. The reactions between the hydrocarbon radicals and nitric oxide have been studied experimentally and theoretically 1-5. Modeling studies of the reburn process chemistry have been reported with different levels of detail. The mechanism has provided an overall understanding of hydrocarbon/NO interactions.
