A KINETIC MODEL FOR SO2 CAPTURE OF A NOVEL T-T SORBENT FOR DRY FGD AT MODERATE TEMPERATURES
The dry flue gas desulphurization (FGD) technology at moderate temperatures (673-1073K) using circulating fluidized bed (CFB) reactor has been developed in recent years1. The key of this technology is the so-called T-T sorbent that is prepared by hydrating and drying a mixture of lime and fly ash. A high SO2 removal rate of over 95% at Ca/S ratio of 2 can be realized12.
