STUDY OF INDUCTION PERIOD OVER ADM CATALYST FOR HIGHER ALCOHOLS SYNTHESIS

Oil Supply, limited in its nature, is inadequate in the face of needs infinite in their desires. This has placed the replacement fuels on a growth path. Higher alcohols synthesis (HAS) from nature gas or coal via syngas (mixture of H2 and CO) is a promising alternative route for clean fuels and chemicals in view of both resources utilization and environmental protection 1. Especially, linear higher alcohols may be an attractive alternative of harmful MTBE 2.
