THE MODIFICATION OF SiO2 BY VARIOUS ORGANIC GROUPS AND ITS INFLUENCE ON THE PROPERTIES OF COBALT-BASED CATALYSTS FOR FISCHER-TROPSCH SYNTHESIS
Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) synthesis is one of major routes for converting coal-based and/or natural gas-derived syngas into environmentally sound production of chemicals and fuels. Cobalt-based catalysts are the preferred catalysts for hydrocarbon synthesis because of their high F-T synthesis activity, selectivity for long-chain paraffins, and low activity for water-gas shift reaction 1.
