A NOVEL Cu-Fe CATALYST FOR MIXED ALCOHOLS SYNTHESIS VIA SYNGAS
The ability to develop highly active, selective, and poisoning-resistant catalysts for the production of mixed alcohols is becoming increasingly important as the roles of these alcohols expand within the fuel and chemical industries. It is well known that transition metals and their oxides have been revealed significant catalytic activities. Among the transition metals and their oxides, copper, iron metals and their oxides have been exhibited as possible substitutes for precious metal catalysts on CO hydrogenation 1-3.
