Shunt Active Power Filter for Harmonic and Reactive Compensation in Wind Conversion System

This paper presents an analysis of shunt active power filter (SAPF) used in wind energy system with permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG). In current control, supply current control is used instead of load current, i.e., there is no harmonic and reactive current measurement in system. PMSG terminal voltage control is adopted to keep PMSG voltage constant . A new decoupled double synchronous reference frame phase-locked loop (DDSRF-PLL) under different rotor frequency is adopted. This DDSRF-PLL can present a fast, precise and robust detection even under unbalanced and distorted voltage. Experiment results show correction and validity of the control scheme.
