DETERMINATION OF CHARACTERISTIC TEMPERATURES IN COAL COMBUSTION REACTION BY TG-DTA METHOD

In this paper, general definitions of coal combustion reaction characteristic temperatures were described, characteristics and application status of traditional methods used to confirm coal combustion reaction characteristic temperatures were analyzed and summarized, and a new method which was used to confirm combustion reaction characteristic temperatures according to comprehensively utilizing TG-DTA curve was brought forward. One kind of bituminous and two kinds of lean coals were chosen to do experiment on Thermal balance and this method was certificated. By analyzing and comparing with other methods, it was found that two phases of coal combustion process could be represented obviously by TG-DTA method, and mechanism equation and reaction kinetic parameters in each phase could be calculated accurately. Meanwhile, this TG-DTA method was easier for computer calculation and results were steadier and more accurate.
